Today in Missouri there are more than 100,000 children of essential workers in need of child care—but only 1,500 (less than half) child care programs in the state are currently operating. These child care programs need our immediate help to stay open and stabilize, remain safe, and care for the children of the people on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic response. The need for quality child care is greater than ever for those providing essential services that keep our communities safe and healthy during a pandemic.
Child Care Aware® of Missouri is here to support these child care programs and the families they serve. By providing mini-grants to child care programs that are open and serving the children of medical personnel, first responders, and essential workers across the industries that are the foundation of our society, we are helping to ensure these child care businesses have the tools they need to carry out their critical work, and they are able to remain open now and in the future.
But we can’t do this work alone. Your gift of any amount will allow us to assist even more child care programs, providing as many mini-grants to the 1,500 child care programs in need in Missouri. Through your contribution, not only will you support child care providers, but you’ll support the families who need child care during the COVID-19 pandemic—the essential workers—in our hospitals, our grocery stores, delivery trucks and emergency vehicles.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, you have the chance to make a difference, to be part of something that will help ease the burden of essential workers, to join with others and show that you care. Will you join us in making an impact? Will you join us in supporting those who are supporting our entire community? Thank you for your support.
Make a gift. Make an impact.
